Hey Sean, my name is Raquel and I’m also a member The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I live in Porto, in Portugal, and I’m fifteen. I started attending the seminary a year earlier than normal, at the age of thirteen, because I wanted to understand what it really is and the importance of attending the classes. When I started going it was weird for me, first because I wasn’t officially enrolled and second because, sometimes I was the only one attending every morning before going to school. Anyway, the classes were awesome and I earned an amazing testimony with them. Due to the spirit I felt, that testimony grew even more until now, and I know it’ll keep growing. One of the biggest blessings I received was help at school, which made me have pretty high grades. Basically, I wrote you this message because I saw your video on the opening of the seminary and I wanted to thank you for the amazing testimony you have, for knowing that people like you fight to get the Lord’s blessings in their day-to-day and for having the courage to attend those lessons instead of going surfing, and I know this choice is really hard, because that is also my favourite sport. I am also very grateful to know that you are now sharing the gospel in the Dominican Republic. Take care and good luck with everything, Love, Raquel Soares :)
P.S.: I’m sorry for my English, because I don’t know how to speak/write this language, so I asked a friend to help me write it. And a missionary serving here in Portugal who is a good friend of mine and she also lives in California.
Hey this is Sean and this is a blog about my life. I am about to graduate from high school and prepare for my mission. I would love to hear about your life experiences and how you overcame challenges through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Together we can help one another.
